HaGal Sheli (My Wave) was established with a clear purpose: to offer genuine opportunities for diverse populations to find success through transformative experiences with the sea, particularly through the sport of surfing.
Our organization provides educational and therapeutic programs tailored for at-risk youth, trauma survivors, and individuals with disabilities from all corners of Israeli society. Surfing, as both an adventure and a learning experience, serves as a powerful catalyst for uncovering the inherent strengths within each participant.
From mastering balance and navigating waves to adapting to changing weather conditions and persevering through falls, the challenges of surfing mirror life’s obstacles. Through these experiences, participants develop resilience, confidence, and a sense of empowerment that extends far beyond the waves, embodying the profound connection between surfing and life’s journey.

Special Education
We use the ocean as a tool to teach youth across the autism spectrum to communicate emotions with their surrounding environment.
Educational and therapeutic programs
We help amputees, individuals with muscular dystrophy, and other disabilities overcome physical obstacles to surfing, increasing their self-esteem and confidence.
PTSD Surf Therapy Program
Our PTSD Surf Therapy Program provides individuals the tools to cope with anxiety and anger attacks, nurture trust, and deal with frustrations.
Al HaGal
Beach events with added social impact
Al HaGal is a social enterprise that leverages the educational potential of surfing and the sea to offer corporate beach events, executive workshops, and team-building activities. Our partnership with HaGal Sheli means that we employ their graduates as certified surfing instructors, empowering them to transform their love for surfing into a sustainable source of income. Through our collaboration, we aim to create positive opportunities for personal growth and development.
